To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all participants at Old Sawmill Farms must follow state hunting regulations and laws.

All participants must have a valid hunting license to participate, no species-specific permit is needed for quail.
Old Sawmill Farms will contact you for payment upon scheduling; a deposit of 50% is expected to hold your slot. Scheduled hunts cannot be cancelled, but can be rescheduled. If not rescheduled, the 50% deposit will be lost. Hunts can be called off by provider due to inclement weather, but will be rescheduled.
The location of scheduled hunts will be provided upon booking. Old Sawmill Farms will also contact you as your hunt date approaches to confirm the details.
The daily bag limit is 12 birds per hunter. Each guided quail hunt includes 30 birds in the price. Each guided dog training includes 15 birds.
Participants dogs must be under control at all times. Aggressive dogs are prohibited to protect guides and other dogs.
All participants are expected to have an understanding of the basic rules of firearm safety including treating every gun as if it is loaded, always pointing the muzzle in a safe direction, and keeping fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot.
Participants are strictly prohibited from hunting if found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Participants are expected to maintain control of their dogs. Aggressive dogs are not permitted to hunt to ensure the safety of our guides, staff, and guide dogs.
Old Sawmill Farms reserves the right to terminate a hunt at any time if safety regulations are not followed.
Participants are responsible for bringing their own hunting equipment and firearms to all scheduled hunts. Hunters are encouraged to dress appropriately for the conditions and to wear the required blaze orange or other highly visible clothing for safety.
Old Sawmill Farms will have water available for all participants, but feel free to bring your favorite snacks and drinks to stay energized during the hunt.
Old Sawmill Farms is fully licensed through the Department of Natural Resources with a Bird Dog Training License, allowing us to provide guided dog training year-round. Our guides are permitted to shoot quail throughout all twelve months while assisting participants with the training of their dogs.
Our guided hunts comply with all licensing regulations, ensuring you receive safe and high-quality guidance.
Our dams are all registered with the American Kennel Club, and details regarding each puppy’s registration and lineage will be shared with all adopters.
All puppies at Old Sawmill Farms are up to date on their required vaccinations at the time of adoption. Information about each puppy’s vaccination status will be provided to adopters.
Adopting a puppy is a significant commitment, and Old Sawmill Farms is dedicated to placing all our puppies in safe and loving homes. We encourage adopters to meet our pups to ensure the right fit.
Old Sawmill Farms reserves the right to deny any adoption.
Puppies will be available to take home at 8 weeks of age.
Full payment is required prior to taking possession of a puppy.
